The firm has already been paid more than $730,000 by the mayor’s five-month-old legal defense fund. In Hinds County, such training is typically completed by early October before a November general election, according to Election Commissioner Shirley Varnado. Mississippi has a general election Tuesday with key races such as governor and secretary of state — the state’s top election official. In 2020, Democrat Joe Biden won the county with 73% of the vote, while Republican Donald Trump received 57.5% statewide. The Mississippi Supreme Court says it will not remove NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre as a defendant in a civil lawsuit that seeks to recover millions of dollars of misspent welfare money meant to help some of the poorest people in the United States. Favre asked the Supreme Court to overturn Peterson's decision. Attorneys for the state responded that Favre took $1.1 million in TANF money from Nancy New "for speeches he never made." State attorneys wrote in March that Favre's attorneys had given the court "a long press release" rather than legal arguments in trying to get him out of the lawsuit. A recent video shows a Ukrainian attack helicopter using US-made 70 mm Hydra rockets. The rockets appear to be being used in an adapted M261 rocket pod on the wing of a Mi-24V. In fact, a video emerged on social medias showing an aircrew loading the US-made 70 mm rockets in an adapted M261 rocket pod under the stub wing of a Mi-24V. The Hydra 70 mm rocket and the 19-shot M261 rocket pod are apparently replacing the S-8 80 mm rocket and the 20-shot B-8V20 rocket pod usually seen under on Ukrainian Mi-24s. Apart for the pylon adapter installed on the pod, we don't know if other modifications were required to employ the new unguided rockets.
